A single technical cookie, no tracking: here's what FlyDown stores in your browser.

In short
FlyDown uses just one cookie, a technical one, to keep you logged in. No third-party cookies, no advertising, no cross-site tracking. FlyDown's usage statistics do not use cookies or store identifiers in your browser (see the privacy notice). That is why we do not ask for your consent with a banner: under the Guidelines of 10 June 2021 of the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (the Italian Data Protection Authority), technical cookies do not require it.

2. Other things FlyDown stores in your browser
These are not cookies, but for transparency we list them for you:
- Copy of the app (service worker and cache): your browser keeps FlyDown's files (pages, styles, images, logo) so that it opens faster, even on a weak connection, especially if you have installed it as an app. It does not contain your personal data or prices.
- Theme (
fd_tema) and language (fd_lang): your choice of light, dark or automatic theme and your language, saved in your browser (localStorage) until you change them. - Notification subscription (only if you switch notifications on): your browser keeps the subscription to its own notification service. You can switch it off from your FlyDown profile or in your browser settings.
3. No third-party services
Fonts, maps, destination photos and logos are served from our own server. While you use FlyDown, your browser does not download anything from external services, so none of them can recognise you or set cookies. The only exceptions are the ones you choose: opening the website of an airline or of FlixBus, which have their own cookie policy, and switching on notifications, as described in the privacy notice.
4. How to manage them
You can delete the cookie and the data stored by FlyDown in your browser settings (usually under "Privacy" or "Site data"). If you delete fd_sess you will be logged out and will need to log in again; blocking it altogether prevents you from logging in.
5. If anything changes
If FlyDown ever introduces analytics cookies or third-party tools that require consent, this page will be updated first and you will be asked for your consent with a banner, with the option to refuse as easily as you accept.
