How FlyDown works (and how we read prices)
FlyDown is a free service that writes to you when a return trip drops below the price you choose. It sells no tickets: it reads prices from the airlines and sends you to their website to book.
In three steps
- Choose where you fly from and how much you want to spend: an email is enough, no password.
- FlyDown checks the airlines every few hours and keeps track of the prices it sees.
- When a trip drops below your price it writes to you (email, notification or Telegram) with the link to book on the airline’s website.
Where the prices come from
From the airlines, not from resellers or other comparison sites. Today we read nine: Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet, Vueling, Volotea, Transavia, Air Transat, Neos, Sky Express. Each has its own page, which says where it flies and how we read its prices. The airlines we read →
What the price you see means
It is the base fare per person, with outbound and return already paired, flight only: it does not include checked baggage, assigned seats or other services. You see the real total on the airline’s website, before booking.
How fresh they are
Every page with prices says when we read them. A price older than three days is not shown as “now”, and if a price is gone we remove it: we do not publish estimated prices or prices taken from others.
What we do not show
We show no public easyJet prices until we have verified them on its site: the public data we have seen sometimes does not match the price you pay. Only a verified price goes into an alert.
The Flappy Score
Every deal gets a score from 0 to 100: the price compared with that route’s usual fare weighs the most, then the flight times and the comfort of the trip. How it is calculated is explained on the Flappy Score page. Flappy Score →
How we make money
No ads and no data sold: we earn from affiliate links for useful services at the destination. The details are on a separate page. How we make money →
